| Roberto's Epithemiou Features On Selected 7 by Joachim Spieth |
|
Joachim Spieth is back with the latest instalment in his superb ‘Selected’ compilation series, featuring the pick of the bunch from the impressive Affin catalogue… Joachim Spieth’s Affin label is a testament to his dedication and passion for electronic music, prolific yet always maintaining a high level of quality the label’s releases are to be found in the sets of Djs such as Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier, Stephan Bodzin and Shlomi Aber. Affin was launched in 2007 by Spieth after a string of successes for Kompakt and Paso Music and has gone from strength to strength, this album is the 7th chapter in the compilation series that charts its history. |
The label’s key artists are represented with tracks from the likes of Dirty Culture, Little Fritter, the Dolphins and Jamal Moulay but there are also guest remix appearances from the excellent Sean O’Neal under his Someone Else moniker and the ever impressive Mark Broom. Highlights include the aforementioned remixes with Someone Else turning out a brilliant percussive reworking of Dirty Culture’s ‘It’s a Freak in Me’ and Mark Broom delivering an intense version of Helt’s ‘Set Beat’. Paso label boss Marc Miroir teams up with Joachim Spieth for an excellent deep and hypnotic cut called ‘Last Exit’ and Roberto journeys into rollin techno realms with the superb ‘Epithemiou’. This is another great selection from Joachim Spieth and his consistently excellent Affin imprint, enjoy! Review taken from djnews.be |
